Annie has been a teacher or administrator since 2004, starting in Chicago, Illinois as a History and Language Arts teacher. Annie moved to Denver, Colorado and helped start the New America School - Lowry, a charter high school for English Language Learners. Working as an English language development teacher and school administrator, she has developed curriculum, school wide MTSS systems, and  restorative school cultures. Annie earned her Masters degree from The University of Colorado Denver in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, and her Bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Chicago, in History and Secondary Education. She also completed a school administration license program through Adams State University.  In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and travelling with her husband and two daughters who are both in the Spanish immersion program at the Denver Language School.
