Yu-Hsin has been both a teacher and an administrator in the bilingual language education field for 12 years. She started as an English Lead teacher in Taipei, Taiwan in 2005 and pursued her career in dual language immersion education in US after her graduate study in second language education at the University of Maryland in 2009.

In the last 9 years, she took on the leadership role as classroom lead teacher and program director in schools in Arizona and Colorado. In this capacity, she provides leadership in ongoing planning and implementation of curriculum and instruction, professional development to instructional staff, and differentiated coaching aligned to district framework for 1st-year teachers. Yu-Hsin loves language immersion model and has strong believes in the benefits language learning would bring. Yu-Hsin’s 4 years old is trilingual in Mandarin, Spanish, and English. He will be joining in DLS soon!

Administrative Responsibilities: Grades K-4: Curriculum Development, Instruction & Coaching, Professional Development, Assessments (CMAS, Istation, Level Chinese, AP, STAMP/Avant), Data Analysis & Reports.
